A goal of the Foundation is to identify important cardiovascular disease questions and provide insights into the medical issues they raise.  With this goal in mind, the Foundation will take the lead in health outcomes research.  The Outcomes Research team tracks an unprecedented number of patients who have undergone interventional cardiology procedures, peripheral vascular interventions, cardiac surgery and electrophysiology procedures.  The Foundation’s health outcomes data has been, and will be, the source data for abstracts, poster presentation and manuscripts.  The true measure of research, however, is how medical treatments improve patient care and the quality of life for patients.
